The National Long Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center, or NORC, provides assistance and support to state Ombudsman Programs. Ombudsman are essentially advocates for seniors in nursing homes and assisted living facilities who are trained to resolve problems, assist you with complaints, and provide information regarding care facilities and what you can do to get the quality care you deserve. Ombudsman are administered by the Administration on Aging (AoA) and are comprised of over 8,000+ volunteers assisting 1,000+ paid employees to handle complaints.
